The documents have been approved by the UK regulator, Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), responsible for regulating all medicines and medical devices in the UK by ensuring they work and are acceptably safe.
These documents come in the form of Information for Healthcare Professionals and Information for UK Recipients. The medicines have been granted a temporary authorisation that grants permission for the medicines to be used for active immunization to prevent COVID-19 disease caused by SARS-CoV-2 virus.
Both documents contain useful information such as side effects, posology and method of administration, contraindications, indications for pregnancy and breastfeeding, list of ingredients and shelf life.
Simon Abrams, Datapharm CEO, said “Our team is devoted to making medical information more accessible and helpful for everyone. We embrace the opportunity to support patients and healthcare professionals at this crucial time and will continue to work closely with our partners to support the benefit/risk assessments during the full life-cycle of these world-changing vaccines. Datapharm is proud to be a trusted digital partner of the MHRA, NHS, RNIB and the pharma industry, prior to a full market licensed approval and beyond”.
