Upcoming events in Pharma: Late 2022
Sep 19, 2022
Datapharm is sponsoring, attending or exhibiting at several Pharma events, including the PIPA conference and World Drug Safety Congress.
As the year’s end draws nearer, we are excited to be sponsoring, attending or exhibiting at several in-person events, based in Europe and the UK. Here’s a roundup of the key upcoming events where Datapharm will be present.
PIPA Conference, Farnham, UK
28-29 September
We are exhibiting at this year’s PIPA Conference.
It is in the vision of PIPA (Pharmaceutical Information and Pharmacovigilance Association) to optimise the impact of pharmaceutical information, and there will be highly relevant themes throughout the programme.
Notably, John Barber from Plain Pharma Consulting will be reviewing the current status of the Northern Ireland Protocol and Brexit – this will be a great opportunity to consider some points on how to navigate the complex post-Brexit roadmap. If you’re concerned with how your medicines information is published there, please speak to us about our emc solution for Northern Ireland.
Other highlights include ‘Is Your Medical Information Department Audit and Inspection Ready’ (several of these issues can be covered by our audit process with your emc membership). If you’re attending, you can catch our Client Services Director, Eliot Morton, and Senior Client Engagement Manager, Robert Chapman.

World Drug Safety Congress Europe, Amsterdam
27-29 September
The World Drug Safety Congress brings together over 700 thought leaders to explore challenges in drug safety within Pharmacovigilance.
Some of the themes explored will include the use of Big Data and AI in pharmacovigilance and tackling the challenges of drug safety legislation across the globe. If you're looking to demonstrate to regulators the effectiveness of your medicines safety information, see how the emc market intelligence solution is used by Pharma to provide powerful insights.
Speakers from this year’s event represent leading Pharma organisations such as Novo Nordisk, GSK, Astra Zeneca and the Institute of Pharmacovigilance.

The conference will also be bringing to the fore some relevant case studies and important lessons learned in communicating medical information.
Some of the key themes being explored include ‘How evolving business, regulatory and legal requirements impact our daily practice’, how to improve customers’ experience as they engage with pharma/biotech companies and insights on how digital technologies can impact information delivery to customers. Sarah Dunnett, a founding member of Medical Information Leaders in Europe (MILE), will be presenting on using emc to present Standard Response Documents to HCPs and patients.
