Session Information

HCPs often struggle to find reliable online scientific content while, globally, 74% of HCPs view independent medical websites as critical for accessing this information. Furthermore, understanding how they engage with scientific content can significantly influence Pharma’s strategic decisions regarding their information provision.

To address a previously unmet need for HCPs to access scientific content 24/7, via an independent and trusted channel, MILE, Datapharm, and Original Digital collaborated with the Pharma industry to develop innovative SRD search technology, enabling HCPs to access accurate responses to their specific questions about medicines, within their established information-seeking journeys. The implementation of SRD search technology on emc, Rote Liste and VIDAL has allowed pharmaceutical companies to compliantly provide this information and gain insights into HCP search behaviours.

This presentation will share MILE’s and Datapharm’s learnings since the launch of the SRD search service in February 2023, including the types of information HCPs seek, common patient symptoms identified in search trends and what times HCPs are searching. The dataset includes searches performed by HCPs in the UK (on emc) and Germany (Rote Liste).
