New updates for emc publisher users: Our investment in accuracy and quality

In a heavily regulated medicines information industry where patient safety is critical, a strong commitment to quality is at the heart of what we do. We've introduced some new improvements which reinforce emc publisher as a precision-driven platform, building with you a shared framework for accuracy that combines our quality checks with your own internal processes.

Here's a brief summary of the new improvements:

• On Datapharm's side: An automated comparison tool in our Quality Check (QC) process
• On your side, as a publisher on emc: Print functionality at SmPC approval stage, allowing you to generate a PDF of the converted document to assist with your final checks
• For the end users of your information: PIF tick certification on the emc website

Automated comparison tool in our QC process

We have integrated automated comparison software (TVT - text verification tool) into our existing QC workflow, in addition to our human-eye checks.

This step will cross-verify your submitted content against source materials, flagging even minor discrepancies to us, and will be a mandatory step for our QC team before your documents are sent back to you for final review.

Print Functionality at the final approval stage

You fed back to us that having a PDF version of your final converted document could make your approval checks more accurate and efficient, so we’ve introduced a print functionality that allows you to easily generate and download a PDF version of your HTML content at the final approval stage.

We have enabled this functionality within the emc publisher platform to better support your manual checks and/or any automated comparison tools you use within your own organisation, thus giving you additional reassurance during the approval process.
